McCoys Join Kier on Charity Challenge

Jun 04, 2019

McCoy joined Kier on their “Boots on for Buildings” Challenge yesterday and successfully completed the 18-mile stomp for charity.

The walk was fronted by Kier’s Operations Director, Stuart Pratt and was part of the Kier challenge, which consists of 5 different walking events over 5 days and aims to have completed one million steps by the time it is finished.

With 12 people in tow, the charity walk started in Newhall Street in central Birmingham and ended at Kier’s Office at Blythe Valley Park, the route took the team alongside the canal for most of the way, with the final stretch on the roads and into the business park.

The closing tally at the end of the day showed an impressive 18.3 miles with an average of 37,000 steps per participant, proving Kier are well on their way to their one million steps target and completing their “Boots on for Buildings” Challenge this Friday.
