Arle Court Transport Hub is undergoing a major upgrade as part of a package of improvements proposed for the £30 million M5 Junction 10 Improvements Scheme.

Supporting Gloucestershire’s Local Transport Plan and carbon neutral ambitions, the improvements to the park and ride facility will include an increase in parking provision, e-charging points, café, bus passenger terminal with indoor waiting and toilet facilities.

The project involves the construction of a wood-faced, steel-framed four- storey car park along with a bus hub and café.

Appointed by Kier, McCoy Contractors are delivering the groundworks package ahead of programme, with final works due for completion in June 2024.

The scope of works for the 14,000 m² project include:

• Earthworks
• Foundations
• Ground floor concrete slabs
• External drainage
• Service trenching
• RC upstands
• Hard landscaping

Once complete, the new transport hub will offer additional bus services and better connections to sustainable transport such as walking and cycling routes.
