McCoy Contractors has been appointed to undertake the bulk earthworks and groundworks package which included the excavation and processing of site won rock to create suitable fill to form the new lorry park.   

The bulk earthworks and drainage works are nearing completion. The structural concrete works to provide dock leveller areas have commenced including the construction of a 100-metre-long by 2.5-metre-high reinforced concrete wall and slab power floated to FM3 finish serving as a retaining wall for the new extension. 

Preparatory works for 11,000 sq. metre warehouse slab are finished and the building footprint subbase has been trimmed and rolled in order to receive 10,609 m2 gas membrane, ready for next stage of the project.

The lorry park of circa 20,000 sq. metre of external yard slabs are 60% completed.

McCoys are progressing well on site and the contract is due to complete in Summer 2020.
